General Dentistry

Proper dental care starts at home with regular brushing (at least twice a day, for at least 2 minutes) with a soft toothbrush and toothpaste that contains fluoride to remove plaque that causes cavities.  And don’t forget to brush your tongue! You’ll remove bacteria and prevent bad breath.  You should also floss at least once a day to remove plaque and food particles from between your teeth to reduce the risk of tooth decay and gum disease.  Your mother always told you that sugary treats could rot your teeth, and she was right!  Regardless of your overall dental health, you should have a cleaning and thorough exam every six-months.  These regular visits help prevent cavities, gum disease, tooth decay, bad breath, and other common oral problems that can require costly treatment.

A dentist is the only person with the training and education necessary to diagnose and treat oral health problems.  If you can’t remember the last time you saw the dentist, schedule your appointment today.  If you’re experiencing any dental problems, be sure to tell us about them when you schedule your appointment.  And keep us informed of any medications you’re taking as some medications can increase your risk of enamel softening, tooth decay and gum disease.A dentist is the only person with the training and education necessary to diagnose and treat oral health problems.  If you can’t remember the last time you saw the dentist, schedule your appointment today.  If you’re experiencing any dental problems, be sure to tell us about them when you schedule your appointment.  And keep us informed of any medications you’re taking as some medications can increase your risk of enamel softening, tooth decay and gum disease.

Frequently Asked Questions

Unlike other dental web sites, our FAQ is not prepared by one or two doctors. What we have done is compiled the best answers for our FAQ, organizing it all here for you. For instance, if you have a question about root canal treatments we guide you to the American Academy of Endodontics FAQ section. So instead of getting your answer from an individual doctor, you get it from the most reputable source for root canal treatment issues.

All the answers provided are for general information only. Your dentist will be able to answer any specific questions about your case. You should consult your dentist before making any decisions regarding treatment for your oral health issues.
